We are professional archaeologists working in West Virginia
or with research interests here. Nearly all of us are associated with
government agencies or the consulting firms that do much of the actual
exploration and excavation required by Federal law (usually called Section
106 compliance).

We built this web page to grow and become a
resource for understanding the people who made the prehistory and history
of West Virginia. We hope you will return periodically, and as you do,
you will find new material for quite some time.
Expect to find original material, obscure older pieces, links to sites
and articles of special value, and some unique features that will prove
helpful to everyone with a curiosity about past life in these mountains. |
